CanCham celebrated Canada’s 149th birthday at the Grand Palace Hotel in the patio setting outdoors. A thunder storm and deluge an hour before the event turned into a sunny, warm evening proving that the sun shines on Canada.
The toast to Canada by Ed Kalvins and to the Queen by Valters Kronbergs was sponsored by Sam Davidovich of SD Transcontinental Consulting Company www.sdtranscontinental.com. Harolds Bulmanis of Sun Crisp www.suncrisp.eu provided munchies in the form of fresh carrots for guests during and after the event.
We were pleased to introduce Peter Czinkan from Montreal now living in Tallinn. Peter organizes tours for CAA Quebec (Canadian Automobile Association - www.caaquebec.com/) and will be representing the CanCham in Estonia, and will help to promote and organize business trips from Canada to the Baltic region. With Peter’s involvement, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce will expand to Estonia.
Thanks to all who participated and especially Henrik Mjoman of Prime Recruitment www.prime.lv who not only tirelessly helped to organize the evening, but continuously reminds us all of the importance of networking, talking to one another, and understanding individual requirements, as this is the secret to business success – and we still enjoy the process.
We look forward to the next event at the Pullman Riga Old Town Hotel on July 19th, where we will be introducing the new Latvian Ambassador to Canada.
