CanCham visits airBaltic and Air Traffic Control training centres

Latvian Air Traffic Control oversees all air traffic in Latvia's airspace. CanCham members saw first hand what the ATC looks like, visited the control tower at Riga Airport and found that the training centre trains air traffic controllers from many countries.

At the airBaltic training centre everyone experienced smoke in the cabin, oxygen masks deploying and also had the opportunity to get behind the controls of a Boeing 737 in a state of the art aircraft simulator which works using Canadian technology.
