Report on Canadas 151th birthday with the CanCham in Latvia

Ričards Stūris provided the standing tables for the patio which were decorated by flowers from Medigas. Despite the cool weather, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable on the outdoor terrace providing for intense networking, but for the meal, we moved inside to warmer surroundings. 
About 30 members and friends attended CanChams Canadas 151th birthday celebration on Sunday, July 1st, 2017 at the Indian Raja Restaurant, Skarnu iela 7, Riga, http://indianraja.lv/ 
We were pleased that Irene Cirule, Commercial Officer of Canadian Embassy in Latvia represented the Embassy and presented her with a potted plant from our member, Z/S Medigas https://www.facebook.com/ZSMedigas/. 
We were also pleased to welcome new corporate member Leinonen (https://leinonen.lv/) represented by Lasse Henritius and individual member Ričards Stūris, and guests from Canada including ALEXANDER BUDREVICS & Associates represented by Arnis Budrevics with Jane Budrevics, and Northern Village represented by Arnis Mikelsons with Leanne Piper.
Guests were treated with specialties of the house in buffet style including, for starters: Chicken wings, Chicken seekh kebab, Hara bara kebab, and for the main course: Chicken Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Spinach Chicken, Basmati Rice and assorted Naans (Indian Bread). Thank you, Indian Raja and its owner, Sunny Motwany for their efforts to make this a pleasant event, and for Ričards Stūris and Medigas for their support.And so, 151 years of Canada is behind us, and we look forward to the next year.
