Mr. Kažociņš is the past director of the Constitution Protection Bureau (SAB). Before joining SAB, Mr. Kažociņš had a distinguished career in the British army, having served in Northern Ireland and helping to plan the first Gulf War. Mr. Kažociņš was the first British military attaché to Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania in 1994 and 1995. In 2004 Mr. Kažocinš left the British Army having attained the rank of Brigadier.
