Financing Development
22.03.2016
Dear CanCham Members and Friends,
The CanCham invites you to participate in the first session of the Partnering for Profit program forum about Financing Development. Though the focus is to prepare CanCham members for the EU-Canada free-trade agreement (CETA) - see http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/countries/canada/, financing also applies to business development activities in Latvia. We will start the process of looking at available funding vehicles and ways to optimize success in acquiring funding for developing or increasing sales, development projects, supporting innovations and attracting strategic partners. The main presentation by key-note speaker Lija Vītoliņa, Head of Corporate Division, LSC Development finance Institution Altum www.altum.lv will be supported by a panel including representatives from the Investment & Development Agency of Latvia www.liaa.gov.lv, the Seed Forum www.seedforum.org, Eko-Med and Technical Partners International, Inc. tpriga.lv/investor-and-partner-acquisition-services, with each providing a short presentation of their organizations and services offered. Forum
participants are invited to share their experiences or raise questions that
the panellists can answer or that will be addressed in future forums. We aim
to provide a foundation for understanding funding opportunities and will
continue development of the process in future forums. Entrance
charge includes refreshments (dinner not provided). Cash bar available. |
