Dear CanCham Members and Friends, 

You are cordially invited to a presentation on the "Architecture of the Fund Industry" by Dr. Michel Verlain.

Dr. Verlaine is an Associate Professor of Finance at French-based ICN Business School.  He is a professor at the Riga Graduate School of Law and an advisor to public and private sector institutions in Luxembourg.

He also manages a recently created firm "SLF - Specialists in Law and Finance" and aims at developing a specialized research and high-end advisory unit based in Riga.Dr. Verlaine will focus on the asset management value chain and will analyse how regulations and costs structures impact business models and the locations of funds and service providers. 

He will elaborate on how governments can exploit such specific research to attract investment vehicles.
