Sports Tourism Services brought to you by the CanCham

CanCham members and their partners offer a wide range of services locally for the international sporting community as part of CanCham’s Visit Latvia program though our sports tourism initiative which provides a bundle of services and coordination of trips to Latvia for teams particularly involved in hockey, curling, basketball, football (soccer), cricket and rugby with the added benefit of being able to enjoy the cultural and scenic environment of Latvia.

This could involve playing exhibition games with local teams, conducting training sessions using local facilities or demonstrating your skills to the local population. In your free time, there could be tours around Riga and/or Latvia, as well as attendance at cultural events such as the opera and theatre, or just plain bar hopping.

A Destination Management Coordinator (DMC) will help you plan the logistics of your trip from the time you arrive at Riga International Airport to the time you leave, organizing everything in between including all sporting activities, accommodation, transfers, entertainment, shopping, excursions, etc. A personal assistant will be assigned to you during your visit in Latvia to ensure you have a positive experience.

Sport is an international language that can be enjoyed by all participants, and sharing this experience in Latvia means affordability, simplicity, and a learning and enjoyable experience.
