30.04.2024 The CanCham Update for April, 2024
30.04.2024

Dear CanCham Members and Friends,

The CanCham continues to develop an active, pre-summer program, and we invite all to share in the activities.

We emphasize that CanCham Latvia promotes Canadian business in Latvia by connecting Canadians to Latvian entrepreneurs to help them meet their objectives. Our business networking events allow Canadians and Latvians to seek new business relationships, or cement existing ones. We also help Latvian companies interested in doing business in Canada by referring them to appropriate organizations and individuals. If you, or someone you know is interested in either Latvia or Canada, please follow the link to information request, and we will contact you to discuss what we can do for you.

CanCham upcoming events include:

  • Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 8.30 – CanCham business networking breakfast with Baiba Krumina at the Grand Poet Hotel. (This event has been sold out.)
  • Monday, May 27th, 2024 at 18.30 - CanCham Restart Reception (by invitation only)
  • Monday June 3rd, 2024 18.30 – Defence and Latvia’s Defense Strategy panel discussion with special guests including the Defence Attaché of the Canadian Embassy in Latvia, a member of the Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee of the Latvian Parliament, the Chair of Federation of Security & Defence Industries of Latvia, and the Canadian Senior Trade Commissioner for the Baltics
  • Friday, June 7th, 2024 at 8.30 - CanCham business networking breakfast with the Director of the Chief economist office of Global affairs Canada.

A new brochure has been developed to help promote CanCham to those who are not familiar with our organization. We would be pleased if our members and friends shared it with their friends, and encouraged them to join the CanCham community.

Because the recent changes at the CanCham, we are currently conducting a re-registration process. A new member listing will be available shortly.

Please follow https://cancham.lv/ for new and event updates.

Sincerely,
Ed Kalvins,
Chairman,
Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia
