Here we go again!

After a period of inactivity, a new and improved CanCham is “back in business” starting with the CanCham Corner on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at Singh’s Restaurant on Ģertrūdes iela. The “CanCham Corner” is a social, informal event that provides Canadians, our members, friends, partners, and guests an opportunity to network and to share a little time together in a relaxing atmosphere.

We were pleased to welcome representatives of Advantech Wireless Technologies and OpenText Cybersecurity of Canada who are in Latvia exploring business opportunities by participating in the Baltic Security Conference. This is a sign of good things to come for the CanCham as the Canadian Embassy’s Trade Commissioner Services under Nicolas Lepage is working hard to attract the attention of Canadian companies to this region. Of course, it is our intention to support business initiatives by offering reliable local partners.

In a short introduction, CanCham’s Chairman Ed Kalvins provided a summery of developments including the modernizing of our web site, an activity schedule for the next year and changes to the Visit Latvia program. Nicolas Lepage then summarized the objectives of the Canadian Trade Commissioner Services.
