CanCham’s business networking breakfast with Mélanie Raymond on Canada - economic outlook
04.06.2024

Dear CanCham Members and Friends,

We are thrilled to share that our second business networking breakfast event will feature a special guest from Canada, Mélanie Raymond. Mélanie is the Director of Investment Analysis and Strategy within Global Affairs Canada’s Office of the Chief Economist since 2018. She leads a team of analysts looking at trends and emerging issues related to inward and outward foreign direct investment as well as international development. Before joining Global Affairs, she worked at four other federal departments, including the Privy Council Office, on a variety of issues ranging from social ones such as access to post-secondary education to economic ones such attracting foreign direct investment in the Canadian automotive industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Natural Resources Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Mélanie’s insight should appeal to those who do business internationally and particularly with Canada.
