Creating Visibility with STENDERS, the Canadian Embassy, Information Presentation specialists, Prime Recruitment and Technical Partners
26.05.2016

Dear CanCham Members and Friends,

The CanCham invites you to participate in the Partnering for Profit program forum about “Creating Visibility - How to present ourselves”. The panel format will be used with the following participants:
  • Mikus Narvils, European Market Manager for STENDERS www.stenders-cosmetics.com/ represents a cosmetic company founded in Riga 2001 which has grown its market not only in Latvia but world-wide, and is an inspiration to all Latvian entrepreneurs and manufacturers. Mikus will explain how this development took place
  • Irena Cirule, Commercial Officer, Canadian Embassy in Latvia www.canadainternational.gc.ca/baltic_states-pays_baltes/ is an invaluable contact for connections to Canada, whether it be to acquire Canadian equipment or products, or to participate in programs organized by the Canadian Embassy. Irena will explain her areas of involvement and how to connect to Canada.
  • Anita Zorgenfreija - Consultant and project manager with expertise in client oriented services and customer research. She has broad experience working in SMEs, the multicultural corporate world and the public sector. Anita will share some useful “tips & tricks” on how to present ideas to investors and strategic partners or deliver information to customers. Attention will be given to issues that can leave bad impressions.
  • Henrik Mjoman, General Manager at Prime Recruitment SIA, http://www.prime.lv/. Although Henrik’s business is recruitment, he uses a system for networking that simply has to be (and isn’t) followed by most entrepreneurs. Henrik will explain his methods, why they work, and what happens when you don’t use them.
  • The moderator will be Ed Kalvins, President of Technical Partners International Inc./TP Riga http://www.tpriga.lv/ who provides Business Development Services to his clients.

“Client” – the most important word in the entrepreneurs dictionary. The Client is the one who buys your products or services or becomes an investor or strategic partner – but how do you reach a Client? Advertising, trade shows, networking, social media, strategic partnerships, sales representatives, etc. all need to be considered.

This panel discussion format will provide members with examples of successful experiences of entrepreneurs and agencies who have expanded their economic activities. Panellists have been selected based on their various approaches. Forum participants will acquire new ideas on how to sustain and expand their businesses and help them prepare for partnering with Canadian and other foreign companies, and developing business opportunities amongst and for themselves.

Forum participants are also invited to share their own experiences or raise questions that the panellists can answer or that will be addressed in future forums. We aim to provide a foundation for understanding what works, and what doesn’t to improve your chances of success.

Entrance charge includes refreshments (dinner not provided). Cash bar available.
