CanCham’s Focus on Connecting Canada and Latvia – Procurement & Services

Dear CanCham Members and Friends,

The CanCham is pleased to welcome LCdr Ken Narozanski, OF-3, Contracts Officer, National Support Element, Enhanced Forward Presence Latvia of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as the guest speaker to a luncheon focusing on Connecting Canada and Latvia.

LCdr Ken Narozanski will also be the new point of contact with the CanCham for the CAF, and is currently looking into a mechanism by which he can consistently spread the word about the CanCham and events in Latvia. He will be here in Latvia for about three years.

You are invited to participate in this luncheon. If you can attend, please register here -

The main topic of discussion will be requirements of the CAF and their personnel who are stationed in Latvia as part of the NATO deployment. LCdr Narozanski will discuss these requirements and procurement procedures for services, and the CanCham will present the services offered by its members in an effort to find areas of cooperation.

We will also be discussing the recently implemented CanCham DMC initiative whose main objective is to develop strategic partnerships between Canadian and Latvian businesses in order to derive the maximum benefit from CETA and the CAF presence in Latvia. Although the CAF is not involved in economic activity, we recognize that its personnel have family and friends in Canada who could have potential business interests in this region. This presents an opportunity for connecting Canada and Latvia that we would like to use for the benefit of both sides.

Entrance charge includes lunch and free parking.
